Hello friends, I am back again with a review. And the product I am reviewing today is Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand and Body Cream. Honestly, I have seen this tub of Oriflame Hand and Body Cream on online shopping sites, beauty stores and malls. I have also heard a few good reviews from known people. But, it did not pique my interest enough for me to buy it.

However, about fifteen days back, I saw this product lying at my mother’s dressing table. As it was within my reach, I opened the lid of the tub and smelt it (awesome fragrance), checked the tub and then asked my mother about the product. My mom said that this was her second tub of the cream and that she bought it the first time round only because it was sold to her at nearly half the price by a friend who worked as an Oriflame consultant. After finishing off the first tub and loving the cream, she bought this product again...and that too at a discounted price.

On hearing her reply enthusiastically about the product and to be truthful, loving the smell when she was applying it on her hands, I thought of trying it out too. Now, after using this product myself and also placing an order for the same, you can very well understand that I too like this product.😊

About Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand and Body Cream

Ladies, I will first start with how the product looks like.

Well, one look at the product from outside and you can see a cream-colored ‘cream’ inside a transparent but sturdy plastic tub. It is also stout-looking and large enough. This means that you get ample quantity of cream inside the tub. The tub has a printed golden colored lid, which shows that it is a 250g ‘Oriflame (Sweden) Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand & Body Cream’. The words ‘organically sourced extracts’ are also clearly written on the lid.

On turning the tub upside down, i.e. at its base, you can see the words ‘Hand & Body Cream. Apply over body’ written on it. There are some more words written (I guess in Swedish), which I couldn’t understand. So, to know the ingredient list and more about the product, I logged onto Oriflame’s official site. There I found all the ingredients used in the making of this wonderful product.

Ingredients Listed:

aqua, glycerin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, butylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate se, stearyl alcohol, dimethicone, paraffinum liquidum, cetearyl ethylhexanoate, carbomer, methylparaben, imidazolidinyl urea, ceteareth-20, propylparaben, parfum, stearic acid, disodium edta, sodium hydroxide, isopropyl myristate, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, citronellol, arachidic acid, lauric acid, myristic acid, hydroxycitronellal, mel, sine adipe lac, phenoxyethanol, ci 47005, ci 14700

How to Use:

Their how to use section for hands suggests users to apply a pea-sized amount of the cream to each hand and then massage in. For body, they recommend that you apply the cream liberally on a dry and cleansed skin (preferably after shower/bath) and massage in, until the cream is completely absorbed.

Besides these, Oriflame also claims in their site that their product is ultra-indulgent, nourishing cream that intensively nourishes the body and hands, leaving the skin supple, soft, hydrated and fragrant all day.

After the exterior inspection, I opened the golden printed lid, only to encounter a golden foil. The foil acts as a protective shield and prevents the inner cream from spilling out or coming in contact with the lid. On tearing the foil from one side, you see the cream-colored cream inside.

My Review

My personal experience with Oriflame Milk & Honey Gold Nourishing Hand and Body Cream started purely due to its fragrance. It has a kind of jasmine/honey type smell that is neither too mild nor too strong. The smell is really very refreshing and lingers for an hour or so after applying the cream. Thereafter you can smell a nice smell, but only when you sniff the parts where you applied the cream.

Regarding the texture of the cream, I would say it is slightly thin for a cream (definitely not runny). It feels more like a thick smooth lotion type cream to me. The cream is also non-greasy, light-weight and gets quickly absorbed by the skin, which is really great. What is also impressive is that the skin feels soft, supple and moisturized after application. Since the tub offers a good quantity, you can be rest assured that the cream will last for at least 2 months.

I am currently using this cream on my hands and legs. I usually apply it after a bath and my skin feels hydrated and nourished post application. It certainly doesn’t leave a sticky or oily feeling after use. In the summers and rainy season, when the weather is hot, humid or warm, this cream will prove very handy for regular use. Even during normal cool weathers, this cream will work well. But if you are living in a place that experiences very cold/chilly winters then it is better to go for an intense or deep moisturizing body cream or lotion (which this cream is not). Another con that I can think about this product is its packaging. Its tub packaging is not travel friendly. You just cannot carry it in your wallet or small purse.

All said and done, I would still rate this product high, especially when you are using it in warm weathers. Its fragrance and the way it easily blends and absorbs in the skin and results in a super hydrated skin is good enough. The actual price of this product is Rs. 649/-. A bit pricey, I must add here. But if you buy it from an Oriflame consultant or through reputed online shopping sites then you get it at a discounted price. I placed my order at Amazon (during their Great Indian Shopping Festival) at Rs. 340/. Now, I am just waiting for the product to arrive and pamper myself😀.
