After all, I am getting 5 popular shades of bullet lipsticks in a stick form and can easily pick my desired shade by just interchanging them in seconds. That's pretty cool 😀'.
By the way, Renee Cosmetics is an Indian based makeup brand that offers a wide range of cruelty-free, FDA-approved and high-quality cosmetic products. Their RENEE FAB 5 lipsticks are very popular and available in 2 variants. The first variant offers 5 bold shades (the one I bought and will review here) while their second variant is FAB 5 Nude that offers 5 soft and subtle shades.
About RENEE FAB 5 Matte Finish 5 in 1 Lipstick
Outwardly, RENEE FAB5 5 in 1 Lipstick has a long, rectangular and black cardboard type packaging with all 5 shades of lip colors displayed on it. This packaging looks quite classy and compact. Likewise, more information regarding the ingredients, direction for use, features of the lipstick, caution and manufacturing details are also given on the outer packaging. I will write some of them down for you'll.

Direction for Use
Open the cap. Gently, swipe up the shade. Carefully, remove the shade and insert it at the end. Push the end & apply desire shade. Start the application from the centre moving towards outwards of lips, just one stroke and you are ready to go.

My Review
The very first impression that RENEE FAB 5 Matte Finish 5 in 1 Lipstick gave me is the portability factor and usefulness of carrying five gorgeous and different shades of lip colors in a stick form. Now you do not have to carry 4 to 5 lipsticks in your handbag or makeup pouch anymore, just one RENEE FAB 5 lipstick will serve your lip color needs.
Coming back to the product, if you remove the outer paper packaging, RENEE FAB 5 lipstick looks like a shiny and sturdy black plastic pen that encloses 5 interchangeable mini lipsticks inside it. As the tagline of RENEE FAB 5 Lipstick says POP PUSH PLAY, all you need to do is open the cap gently and pop the mini color bullet, push it from the bottom of the stick (if you want to change the shade) and play (apply) your chosen color. Its that simple.
As mentioned before, out of the 2 available RENEE FAB 5 lipstick variants, I bought the one with bold shades, as I absolutely love wearing them. If you love nude colors, then simply opt for RENEE FAB 5 Matte Finish 5 in 1 Lipstick Nude. These have some soft shades that are fit for college, office and even daily use.

Here the one thing that slightly bothered me was that Renee has NOT named any of their lipstick shades. However, you can recognize those bright and beautiful colors like tomato red, maroon, pink, taupe and coral. I totally, love love love these colors. These shades are perfect for Indian skin tones and can be worn for festive occasions, weddings, cocktail parties, office meetings or any time you feel like wearing a vibrant shade on your lips when venturing out.
RENEE FAB 5 lipsticks smell amazing (it felt like chocolate fragrance to me). On application, they glide like butter on your lips. Yes! These lipsticks are so creamy and moisturizing, that you feel very comfortable wearing them. Since these are also highly pigmented, you need 1 (maximum 2 strokes) for applying them.
Post application, these lipsticks give a creamy but matte finish and stay on your lips for a good 3-4 hours. After that the lip color starts fading and you need to reapply them. On the flip side though, these lipsticks tend to smudge and are also NOT transfer proof.
Overall, I am impressed with RENEE FAB 5 lipstick Bold. This lipstick is a hassle-free, easy-to-use and travel-friendly product and can be literally used anywhere, anytime. In addition to being light-weight and hydrating, RENEE FAB 5 lipsticks are cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free and give a good color payoff.
My Ratings:
I would go with 4.2/5. Though they do have some cons, I think getting your hand at 5 beautiful shades of high-quality & pigmented mini lipsticks in a pen form and within budget is worth owning one.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the comment Vandana. Do try it out. Its quite a handy product. Though it transfers, you can use a tissue to remove excess lipstick (after applying lipstick and dust bit of powder over it) - this will set it up.
